Job Summary: Assist in running the Utah Arts Alliance’s Urban Arts Gallery during open hours as scheduled (weekends required).
Primary Responsibilities: Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive work environment
Welcoming and assisting artists and patrons
Selling cool art
Assisting artists with inventory management
General gallery maintenance
Responsible for running the gallery in the absence of the Manager & or Director
Desired Qualifications: Available to work weekends
Available to work 2 or more shifts a week
Must be available during events, 2nd and 3rd Fridays of the month, 5-9 pm
Previous customer service experience
Interest in Visual Art and supporting the local arts community
Ability to lift 20+ lbs and use a ladderOrganized, dependable, with a positive attitude and ability to take initiative with the day-to- day tasks that come with operating the gallery. Willing to assist in hanging and/or take down of exhibits once a month. Previous gallery experience not necessary, but previous sales, volunteering, and/or non-profit experience a plus.Benefits / Why Work for Us: $15 and up per hour, gallery discount, immersion with the local arts community, and opportunity to help us fulfill our mission to support and foster the arts.
