May 19- Matisse Goldfish
Matisse was known as the King of Color because of his bold and luscious color choices. After reading a story about the life of Matisse, students will get to do their own version of his famous goldfish painting using pastel and watercolor.
May 26- Pacita Abad Concentric Collage
Pactia Abad is an accomplished Filipino- American artist who focused on creating colorful circle paintings. Using found papers students will make a bright, colorful work through collaging the papers in concentric circles.
All materials are provided. Masks are also required.
