Art-Tell Music in the City Concert: "Divergent" Jazz Quartet

Divergent is an exquisite jazz quartet featuring Kate Skinner (piano and voice), Vern Sielert (trumpet), Josh Skinner (bass), and Chris Smith. They perform a combination of unique and hip arrangements of jazz standards mixed with creative originals by Kate Skinner. “Divergent” has a highly acoustic sound within a jazz context that grooves hard. Their new album “Surf Spray” is a collection of music for all jazz listeners.

This is part of a week-long event will also feature youth storytellers, a youth art contest,and a gala dinner celebration.
