Artist and Professor Dennis Martinez will present a free Art Conversation at the SGAM, Feb 20 at 7pm.

Dennis Martinez is a professional artist, art educator and art therapist. He holds a BA from Princeton University in Art and Archaeology; an MA from the University of New Mexico in Art and Art History and an MFA in Creative Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dennis is currently Professor of Art at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. He has been teaching in the Art Department for 24 years. Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
