"Echoes of Hammers and Spikes" Part 1 and 2

Stories and songs from the forthcoming book/music album, “Echoes of Hammers and Spikes” will be debuted at the Old Capitol Storytelling Festival on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00pm and 3:00pm at Millard High School.

The Old Capitol Storytelling Festival runs from March 6th to the 10th in Ely, Nevada, and Snake Valley, Delta, and Fillmore, Utah. This year’s theme is “Echoes of Hammers and Spikes” commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad (at Promontory Summit on May 10, 1869). A special DEBUT PERFORMANCE of stories and songs from the forthcoming book/music album will be featured at Millard High School on Saturday, March 9th at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. We invite

DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
