The Murray Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Craig Ferrin, is proud of its decades-long tradition of bringing quality band music to the community of Murray, Utah and the greater Salt Lake Valley. Our assistant conductors include: Diane Taylor, Wayne Huff and Laun Maher
The band is a volunteer community organization that continues to grow each season. We are a nonprofit corporation ((501(c)(3)) supported by grants, member dues and donations.
We perform four major concerts a year (fall, winter, spring, and summer). In addition, the band plays on Memorial Day, July 4, Utah State Fair, and occasionally for other events
Our members come from many varied backgrounds. No audition is necessary to join, but members must be at least sixteen years of age and have prior experience playing in high school, college or equivalent experience. We are currently seeking new players; if you are interested in joining the band, please contact us!
The Murray Concert Band is funded in part by grants from Murray City, The Murray Arts Advisory Board, and Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts & Park,
