Throughout the history of music, one of the most intimate media has been song for the human voice. From Schubert to Strauss, songs have communicated grief, anguish, joy, ecstasy, and the heart of the human experience.

Throughout the history of music, one of the most intimate media has been song for the human voice. From Schubert to Strauss, songs have communicated grief, anguish, joy, ecstasy, and the heart of the human experience. For a little extra salt and pepper, we have added cello. See how composers in the 21st century are using these performance forces to create a modern-day Liederabend*.
