Join the Utah Phil for an evening of colorful, energized music on December 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Libby Gardner Hall. Prof. Kirstin Chávez joins the orchestra to sing the evocatively beautiful El Amor Brujo (Love, The Magician) by Spanish composer, Manuel DeFalla. The orchestra will also perform Mozart’s ebullient Symphony No. 35 (The Haffner Symphony) and Gabriela Lena Frank’s Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, a piece infused with folk rhythms and dazzling special musical effects.
