Women's History Airfield Tour

Paul Tibbetts with Didi Moorman and Dora Dougherty Strother

Historic Wendover Airfield celebrates Women’s History Month!

For women’s history month, Historic Wendover Airfield is offering a unique airfield tour every Saturday in March. Women performed vital roles around the base in both military and civilian capacities in World War II. Step into our nurses’ quarters to see the conditions in which the members of the Army Nurse Corps lived and worked. Climb into a C-54 transport aircraft and see the Enola Gay Hangar to learn about the WASPs (Women Air Force Service Pilots) like Didi Moorman and Dora Dougherty
