- Warning signs for mental health and addiction
- Strategies to help an individual experiencing both crisis and non-crisis situations
- Where to go for help
- ALGEE steps: Assess, Listen, Give, Encourage, Encourage
- This course is valued at $170 per participant, however, USU Extension has grant support that allows us to offer it FREE of charge.
Youth mental health is a major crisis in Utah. Utah high school students are reporting that 36.7% felt sad or hopeless, 22.3% seriously considered attempting suicide, 18.7% made a suicide plan, 9.3% attempted suicide one or more times, and 2.1% had a suicide attempt that required medical attention in 2019.
