The Leonardo is a contemporary Sci+Tech+Art museum, where today's big ideas, questions, inventions and discoveries are connected in a whole new way. Our mission: to inspire creativity and innovation. Our tools: a transdisciplinary fusion of art, science and technology. It's a museum, but not like any museum you've ever visited. It's an active exploration that shines a light on curiosity and allows your mind to wander.

    This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement The Leonardo at Library Square This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement Presented by The Leonardo at Library Square at The Leonardo at Library Square January 13-May 31, 2012 A new traveling exhibition presenting this historic struggle through the lenses of nine activist photographers.     06/11/12- 06/15/12	POP ART THEN & NOW Summer Teen Workshop, grades 7-9 The Leonardo at Library Square POP ART THEN & NOW Summer Teen Workshop, grades 7-9 Presented by The Leonardo at Library Square at The Leonardo at Library Square June 11-June 15, 2012   This interactive four-day workshop looks at the past and present forms of Pop Art -- its sources, its challenges, and its unstoppable energy. Each student will make an original work of art in the Pop style. They’ll also learn how to make comic and storyboard illustration, and then create their own zine, graphic novel, or comic.
    06/25/12- 06/29/12	Teen Workshop - Fleas, Fractals and Physics: Decoding Nature with Science, Math and Art, grades 7-9 The Leonardo at Library Square Teen Workshop - Fleas, Fractals and Physics: Decoding Nature with Science, Math and Art, grades 7-9 Presented by The Leonardo at Library Square at The Leonardo at Library Square June 25-June 29, 2012   Fractal geometry is everywhere in nature. Take a close look at ferns or clouds and notice the repeating geometric patterns. A growing understanding of the mathematics behind fractals are giving us deeper insights into nature, inspiring innovation across disciplines—from filmmakers and fashion designers, to physicians and researchers.

Most times the artist worked without being paid, just for the opportunity of making a moment, a surprise, a gift to an overlooked site.

Researchers have even proven that certain pieces of music are more popular due to their mathematical structures.
