World AIDS Day / Day With(out) Art ’19: Together, Healthy, Proud!

6–8 pm | FREE | G.W. Anderson Family Great Hall, Emma Eccles Jones Education Center Classroom, Galleries
Join with UMFA and community partners for an evening of reflection, resources, art, and music to commemorate the ongoing impact of the AIDS epidemic on artists’ lives and our world today. The event will include making textile art— inspired by AIDS Quilt—experimental live music by it foot, it ears, guided gallery exploration, resource tables, refreshments, and more.

The galleries will be free admission from 10 am– 9 pm. Festivities including art-making, live music, guided tours, resource tables and refreshments will be available from 6–8 pm!

DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
