Family Art Saturday: Lay of the Land
Please note, this event has expired.
They often take for granted the ease of modern travel, but the roads, railways, and power lines that crisscross our nation haven’t always existed. What did the land look like before they were built? What mark has westward expansion had upon American vistas? You get to decide as you layer a fictional network of roadways onto untouched landscapes in the West. Then, compare your collaged artwork with different ideas of American landscape in the exhibit, Grandma’s Cupboard.
