Opera Studio “The Photographer”

Westminster College presents an Opera Studio Concert, “The Photographer,” on March 27 and 28, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall in the Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory.

The chamber opera by composer Philip Glass is based on thehomicide trial of photographer Eadweard Muybridge. The concert is based onwords drawn from the trial as well as Muybridge’s letters to hiswife. The piece was commissioned by the Holland Festival, and first pe.rformed in1982 at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.

General admission is $5. Westminster staff, faculty and students receive one free ticket0
